The 31st Symposium of the Vancouver Geotechnical Society will take place on June 06, 2025.

The Symposium is open to individuals from all sectors to discuss/present topics related to Shallow and Deep Foundations.

The Symposium program will consist of the following (details provided here):

  • Two Keynote lectures, namely, presentations from:

    • Bengt Fellenius, Dr.Tech., P.Eng based in Sidney, BC, Canada. Topic - A Case History on Use of Wick Drains and Unsuccessful Piled Foundations

    • Shideh Dashti, PhD. Associate Professor in Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at University of Colorado Boulder, USA. Topic - New Directions in Building Performance Research: Liquefaction Mitigation through Physics Informed and Data Driven Methodologies

  • Technical sessions including presentations.

  • Geotechnical suppliers trade show exhibition.

  • Continental breakfast, lunch, and two coffee breaks provided.

Symposium registration is now online at the link below. Your receipt will be sent to your registered email address two days before the Symposium. Registration is $245 before May 15th, $300 thereafter, and $350 day-of. The student registration fee is $85.
