28th Vancouver Geotechnical Society Symposium
The 28th Symposium of the Vancouver Geotechnical Society will take place on September 16, 2022. Unlike past years, there will be no fixed topic and no requirement to submit a formal technical paper. For this year, we are envisioning a casual format where members of the society can gather in a social setting and present on topics of their choosing.
The symposium is open to individuals from all sectors to discuss/present all facets of geotechnical engineering topics including, but but not limited to: exploration, instrumentation, design, construction, research, case histories, etc.
The symposium will be held in-person at the Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront.
Symposium Program:
The symposium program is being finalized based on abstract submissions. The symposium is anticipated to consist of the following events:
One or two invited presentations by keynote speakers.
Technical sessions that will allow for 6 to 10 presentations.
A panel discussion featuring the keynote speakers and local experts.
Geotechnical suppliers trade show exhibition.
Continental breakfast, lunch, and two coffee breaks provided.

Symposium registration is now online at the link below. Your receipt will be sent to your registered email address two days before the Symposium. Information to access the Symposium will be sent to your registered email address the week before the event.
Early bird registration: $125 CAD before and on.
Regular registration: $175 CAD after and on .
Student registration: $40 CAD.
A prize draw will be held for early bird registrations!
